Science and Technology Honors Program Distinguished Alumnus Award Reception

Aaron Neal, D.Phil., an alumnus of UAB who earned a Bachelor's of Science in molecular biology in 2010, will receive the inaugural Science and Technology Honors Program Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2017. While at UAB, he was the first UAB student to be chosen for the NIH-Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program, an esteemed biomedical scholars program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Neal completed his doctoral studies at the University of Oxford in 2015 and is now a Presidential Management Fellow in STEM at the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
