The GlcNAc Interest Group was started in the fall of 2015. It consists of over 12 UAB faculty and trainees within their laboratories. The purpose of the group is to get people together from multiple departments across campus with a common interest in glycobiology, specifically protein O-GlcNAcylation. The meetings consist of discussions on grant ideas, manuscript vetting, and other key discussions regarding the rapidly expanding field surrounding this exciting topic. This is a unique and dynamic forum that has contributed to collaborations on funded grants and published manuscripts.

Group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3:00-4:00.
