Addiction Scholar Program

What are the goals of this program?

  • Demonstrate understanding of addiction as a disease and what that means for clinical care across disciplines
  • Recognize and reduce negative judgment and stigma associated with addiction and how it can impact the entire continuum of patient care from admission to discharge
  • Increase knowledge and understanding about addictive disorders and how addiction impacts current medical issues
  • Identify and eliminate barriers to treatment and recovery

How long is this program?

The scholars program is a 15-month comprehensive educational offering for licensed professionals.  Will kick off with a two day conference on April 13 and 14, 2017.
